Summary:
All I wanted was to make friends, meet boys, and keep on being ordinary. I don't even know what that means anymore. It all started on the day that I saw my first ghost - and the ghost saw me.
Now there are ghosts everywhere and they won't leave me alone. To top it all off, I somehow got myself locked up in Lyle House, a "special home" for troubled teens. Yet the home isn't what it seems. Don't tell anyone, but I think there might be more to my housemates than meets the eye. The question is, whose side are they on? it's up to me to figure out the dangerous secrets behind Lyle House...before its skeletons come back to haunt me.

Book 1 - The Summoning; Book 2 - The Awakening; Book 3 - The Reckoning.
Thoughts:
This series left me a little less than satisfied, probably because I was expecting all the twists to be more surprising. The ending was underwhelming because the author didn't explain much. Perhaps this series hadn't ended with just three books?
I don't get the success/failure of the genetically modified supernaturals. No further explanations made. Derek was so special that everyone wanted him captured/dead. So why was he a failure? Just a werewolf, why was he terrifying?
If you think all the three book was solely about Chloe, it's not. Book 1 was about Chloe cause she could summon spirits. Book 2 was about Derek, his awakening, Book 3 was about their powers I presume, the reckoning of their force. All of them linked back to Chloe but she's not really the main focus. In my own opinion. All in all, the plot was there but I'd have liked the writing to be more detailed and logical.
Worth a read if you're into supernatural, but not so much if you're looking for romance and perhaps an excitement.
