Fifty Shades Trilogy by E.L. James

(I read this book a couple of months ago, but I think it's good to share because it's gonna be a major motion picture!)

Summary:

When literature student Anastasia Steele goes to interview young entrepreneur Christian Grey, she encounters a man who is beautiful, brilliant, and intimidating. The unworldly, innocent Ana is startled to realize she wants this man and, despite his enigmatic reserve, finds she is desperate to get close to him. Unable to resist Ana’s quiet beauty, wit, and independent spirit, Grey admits he wants her, too - but on his own terms.

Shocked yet thrilled by Grey’s singular erotic tastes, Ana hesitates. For all the trappings of success - his multinational businesses, his vast wealth, his loving family - Grey is a man tormented by demons and consumed by the need to control. When the couple embarks on a daring, passionately physical affair, Ana discovers Christian Grey’s secrets and explores her own dark desires.

Erotic, amusing, and deeply moving, the Fifty Shades Trilogy is a tale that will obsess you, possess you, and stay with you forever.

This book is intended for mature audiences.

Thoughts:

This book is R21! Totally, no exceptions. I wasn't into the book at all because of me judging the book based on what my friends said. This series is definitely a tale that obsessed me, possessed me, and is gonna stay with me forever.

First off, I was taken aback by how vulgar it was written in. Not the like of 'fuck you cheebye' vulgar, but more of the sexual kind. Dominant-Submissive relationship is what defines Christian and Anastasia. I didn't even know such things exist, so this book has taught me a great deal of things. If you are light-hearted as me, this book is probably a turn-off to you.

Tip: Ignore the sexual descriptions! It'd 100% make you feel better.

I have to say I am super proud of myself to read through the whole three books. I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! I cannot get enough of it. The moment I chose to ignore things which were disgusting to me, the read was non-stop exciting. I just had to know what's going to happen to both of them!

It was really frustrating to see Christian struggling to open up to new emotions, and even more heartbreaking to witness how Ana was 'abused' yet loved by Christian. The part where Christian flared at Ana when she accidentally got pregnant and went to find his ex-dominant was indescribable. I could literally cry out for Ana y'know!? Stupid Christian for being so self-centered. But the part where Ana sacrificed her life and baby just to keep Christian safe was SO TOUCHING. Kid you not, my heart throbbed, stabbed and joyed at all those.

Book 1 - Fifty Shades of Grey; Book 2 - Fifty Shades Darker; Book 3 - Fifty Shades Freed.

This is definitely a MUST read. You're missing out one of the best novels till date! Don't be judgmental like me in the beginning. I regretted judging the erotic part of the story and missing out the best story ever.
