Overall it's a good read but the way it was written could have been better, in my own opinion, because I dislike reading point-of-views. Too confusing. If you do, you'd like the book much better than I did for sure.
I like the plot. It's kind of reminds me of Divergent, but not exactly. The Society made choices for all of the people, however they did not know that the rebels were already within them since many years ago. People were chosen by the Rising, via immunizing babies from the red pill which would take their memory, and the Plague which would kill. But not Cassia. She was a tool of both the Society and Rising, because she could forget. But she's a fighter.
The story revolves around how Cassia's choice sent Ky to die, how Ky fought to stay alive, how Cassia risked everything to find Ky back, why Ky was reclassified as an Aberration not Anomaly, how they were separated then met again in the wrath of death, how both Xander and Cassia found the cure to the mutated Plague, and their final choice - stay with Rising or go to the Otherworld where no one ever comes back.
So so so many non-stop twists! But I love the ending. Even though many died, but Ky survived the mutation! Happily ever after for Cassia-Ky and Xander-Lei!
